Jerry Steffen graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1967. As a student, Steffen was named to the Catholic All-America Team in 1964 and 1965. He was named All-District and All-Conference in 1965 and 1966, and was also named the Tommies' MVP in 1966.
