Dick Washburn

Dick Washburn graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1968. As a student, Washburn was a four-year starting pitcher and a member of two MIAC champion teams (1965, 1967). As a junior, he was among the nation's top-ranked pitchers with a 1.92 ERA. He holds the St. Thomas strikeout record with 263. After graduation, Washburn was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds.
