Dennis Fitzpatrick graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1973. As a student, Fitzpatrick was a member of four MIAC championship winning basketball teams (1969-73) and was a four-year letterman in bsketball. He played in three NAIA National Tournaments in Kansas City. Fitzpatrick still ranks sixth in career scoring with 1,486 points, and still holds the school record for career made free throws with 338. In his four years on the team, the Tommies had a 99-20 record (59-5 in the MIAC).
