Summit League announces Commissioner's List of Excellence

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The academic honors continue to roll in for the University of St. Thomas. After announcing its Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday, the Summit League shared its 2023-24 Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence honorees Thursday afternoon. In total, 120 Tommies received the prestigious honor, while St. Thomas dive took home the Team Academic Achievement Award in women's swim and dive.
To be eligible for the Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence, student-athletes must maintain a 3.50+ cumulative grade point average (GPA). Additionally, student-athletes must complete one year of eligibility at an institution and completed three full semesters. First transfers and true freshmen were ineligible for this award.
In addition to 120 Tommies earning the award, the St. Thomas women's swim and dive program took home the Team Academic Achievement Award Thursday afternoon. The Team Academic Achievement Award looks to honor teams with a highest percentage of student-athletes on the Summit League Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence. A total of 29 Tommie student-athletes from the women's swim and dive team earned Academic Honors this week, the highest percentage of any program in the Summit League. Of those 29, 15 were named to the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence.
