The Tommies (16-7 overall, 4-2 MIAC) lost outside hitter Fran Egan to an injury on the second play of the match and she didn't return. They dropped their first home contest of the season.
Gustavus (19-2, 7-0 MIAC) has won 12 in a row and remains tied for the conference lead with 7-0 St. Ben's.
For UST, Katharine Mallak had 41 assists and 11 digs; Grace Bordson had 14 kills and three blocks; Audrey Erickson and freshman Sophia Heuer each had 10 kills; Madie Kroehler had eight kills and 12 digs; and Ellie Meyer added 29 digs.
