Women's T&F sees progress at St. Olaf Quad

St. Thomas women's track and field placed first of . Several Toms recorded top-50 national performances.

Despite partial teams, the UST women took first of four at the St. Olaf Quadrangular on Friday night in Northfield.  The Tommies edged the host Oles 156-151 and also defeated Gustavus Adolphus and Bethel.

Katie Murray won the 200 in 26.08, which ranks 14th in D-III. UST had a pair of No. 25 performances nationally as Jalia Anderson and Kendall Novak went 1-2 in the pole vault at 11-1.

The Toms also placed 1-2 in the mile with Sara Ness and Melissa Marsh; 1-2 in the 1000 with Hannah Helstad and Jenny Walz (both 2:59); and 1-2 in the 600 with Mallory Adamson (1:41) and Keely Smith (1:43).
