Men's Hockey falls to Bethel, first MIAC loss

No. 15-ranked Tommie Men's Hockey outshot visiting Bethel 39-19 but still dropped a 3-1 decision at home Friday night to Bethel.

The Royals scored in the game's first 40 seconds and later took a 2-1 lead with a goal in the final 70 seconds of period two. They closed then game with an empty-net goal in the final 15 seconds.

Spencer Zwiener scored late in the first period for the Tommies (4-2-1 overall, 2-1 MIAC).

The teams play again Saturday night in Blaine to close the series.
