Women's Hoops storms past Falcons for 4-0 start

Senior All-America Hannah Spaulding finished with 19 points and six rebounds in just 23 minutes to lead No. 3-ranked St. Thomas to a 89-42 victory over host UW-River Falls in non-conference play Wednesday night.
The Tommies (4-0) raced to a 23-3 lead late in the first quarter. On the night, Coach Ruth Sinn's team posted a 42-26 rebounding advantage and shot 55 percent from the floor.
This was St. Thomas' 20th consecutive regular-season victory, and 31st road win in a row.
Sophomore Kaia Porter scored 15 points, freshman Brynne Rolland had 10 points, and senior Lucia Renikoff added nine points and five assists.
St. Thomas opens MIAC play Saturday at home against St. Catherine (1 p.m.).
