Amy Maas won two events and hit an NCAA provo mark to lead the Tommie women's track and field team at Saturday's Point Loma Nazarene Invite in San Diego.
The non-team scored meet was the 2011 opener for St. Thomas, which had partial women's and men's squads competing.
Mass' 143-11 mark in the discus was a career best and hit the NCAA outdoor provisional qualifying standard. She also won the shot put (40-9) and was second in the hammer (134-1) behind teammate Sarah Lemke's winning throw (137-11).
Allie Metzler won the 5,000 in an NCAA provo time of 17:28.65, and Erin Statz placed fourth (18:46.02).
Emily Van Heel swept the 100 dash (12.56) and triple jump (36-4) and anchored third-place 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
On the men's side, All-Americans Mike Hutton (3:55.87) and Ben Sathre (3:57.59) placed 2-3 in the 1,500 meters.
