Katie Theisen, Russ, 4x400 improve Women's Track times

The St. Thomas women's track and field team improved several of its NCAA provisional qualifying marks at Thursday night's UW-LaCrosse Invite.

Katie Theisen (2:11.73) and Kelly Russ (2:12.08) finished 2-3 in the 800 and now rank ninth and 11th on the Division III season list. In the 4x400 relay, UST improved to 10th on the season list with a 3:52.21 clocking. Melissa Keubler won the 100 hurdles in a season-best 14.80 but still ranks 22nd.

In the hammer, Carol Comp broke teammate Shara Guidry's school record as she threw 162-6 to move to 17th on the season list.

Final NCAA qualifiers will be announced Monday.
