The St. Thomas women failed to score in two Saturday events but the Tommies still placed seventh in the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in Ada, Ohio. UST finished just five points out of third place.
On Saturday, Selina Dehn went 36-5 to take 11th of 16 in the triple jump prelims. Shara Guidry placed 11th in the prelims of the shot put at 42-8.
The Tommies scored 18 points on Friday with Carol Comp's victory in the weight throw and a runner-up placing in the distance-medley relay.
Bethel's Marie Borner won the mile to give the MIAC a second national champion.
