Julie Anderson gets MIAC track honor

St. Thomas distance runner Julie Anderson (SR-Ely) Monday was named MIAC Women's Track and Field Track Athlete of the Week.

At the Iowa State Open, Anderson placed eighth of 27 in the 3,000 meters in 10:24.30 -- a time that ranks first in the conference thus far. Anderson had competed on UST teams that have won seven consecutive MIAC titles in track and cross country in 2005-2007.
