W. Tennis edges Cardinals, posts ninth win

Brittany Alexander's three-set win in singles was the difference as the Tommie women's tennis team scored a 5-4 road victory Sunday at St. Mary's.

The Toms (9-4 overall, 5-1 MIAC) won two of three doubles matches, with Alexander and Kara Lefsrud posting a 8-6 victory at No. 2, and Anna and Rachel Wright winning 8-6 at third doubles.

Lefsrud, Alexander and Anna Wright won at Nos. 3-4-5 singles. Alexander won 6-7, 6-4, 10-6.

St. Thomas plays April 11 at Bethel.
