The St. Thomas women's swimming and diving team won eight events and took third of five teams in Saturday's St. John's Winter Invite.
Division II St. Cloud State took first with 835 points followed by Gustavus (692), St. Thomas (539) and St. Ben's (531).
Coach Tom Hodgson said 11 Tommie swimmers or divers had lifetime bests Saturday on the men's and women's side.
The Toms won the 800 free relay in 8:06.93 with Becca Ney, Layla Clauss, Jena Root and Jenny Bruno.
Ney won the 50 free (25.05) and 100 free (54.20). Katie Bromback won the 200 fly (2:13.42) and 100 fly (1:01.24); Root won the 100 back (1:00.78 and 200 back (2:12.48). Clauss (11:05.16) and Sam Simon (11:13.70) went 1-2 in the 1000 free.
