St. Thomas senior All-American Emily Foster had 93 assists in three weekend matches to move past 5,000 career assists.
Foster now has 5,023 assists in 439 sets, and ranks seventh in MIAC history. Foster has helped the Tommies build a 103-20 record in her era.
Foster has a chance to become the first MIAC volleyball player to make AVCA All-America three consecutive seasons. Her 2010 team, tied for first place with three macthes to play, has an opportunity to become just the second program to win four consecutive conference championships.
The 14th-ranked Toms are 21-4 on the season, with three losses to nationally-ranked teams and a fourth to 32-4 NAIA school Viterbo. They had a 16-match win streak halted Saturday with a 25-21, 25-22, 25-22 loss to Viterbo.
