Tommies win 28 All-America honors in 2007-08

St. Thomas student-athletes won All-America honors 28 times in the 2007-08 school year, representing 13 of 22 sports. The list included 15 underclassmen.

Leading the achievers were senior track and field national champions Mark O'Connell (hammer throw) and Carol Comp (weight throw). Multiple All-Americans included 3X honoree P.J. Theisen (football, LJ, 400H), Katie Theisen (CC, indoor track) and Erin Sprangers (indoor/outdoor track).

Softball's Maria Bye was named a first-team All-American for the third year in a row.
