Volleyball's Whitney Lloyd makes All-America

St. Thomas senior Whitney Lloyd is among 42 Division III players named to the 2017 All-America team by the American Voleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). 

Lloyd, who has built a 3.86 grade-point average in Biochemistry, played in 113 career matches and compiled 905 kills, a .288 attack percentage, 250 digs and 307 blocks. St. Thomas had an 80-40 record in her era.

This season, Lloyd had 73 blocks, 279 kills and a .331 attack percentage. he helped the Tommies win the MIAC regular-season title and reach the NCAA playoffs with a 25-7 final record.

Lloyd's is the 16th All-America honor in 15 seasons under Coach Thanh Pham, and 22nd in program history.
