Volleyball finishes 3-1 at UW-Eau Claire Invite

Tommie Volleyball went 3-1 at the UW-Eau Claire Invite to improve its record to 17-7.

The weekend started with a 3-1 Tommie win over Martin Luther (25-13, 23-25, 25-23, 25-14). The Tommies continued to play strong in the second match of the night and defeated Minnesota-Morris 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-20).

St. Thomas fell to UW-River Falls on Saturday morning as the Falcons scored a 3-1 win over the Tommies (25-19, 25-23, 19-25, 25-21). The Tommies bounced back with a 3-0 win (25-22, 25-11, 25-11) over UW-Superior in their final match of the tournament. Freshman Madie Kroehler served three aces in the win against the Yellowjackets.

Freshman libero Ellie Meyer made the eight-player all-tournament team for St. Thomas.

The Tommies are back in action on Friday night when they travel to Northfield to take on St. Olaf. Game time for the MIAC match is set for 7 p.m.
