Senior middle blocker Whitney Lloyd recorded 14 kills, three blocks and two aces as the visiting Tommies scored a 3-0 win over Hamline in MIAC volleyball play Wednesday night at HU's Hutton Arena. St. Thomas hit .289 and won 25-15, 25-14, 25-21.
UST (12-4) pushed its season victory streak to eight and remained in a share of the MIAC lead at 4-0, including three conference road wins.
Hamline held third-set leads of 14-10 and 21-20 but the Tommies closed out the match with an 5-0 run.
St. Thomas continues a busy week Friday night with a road test at No. 22-ranked Northwestern-St. Paul, then returns home Saturday for a 5 p.m. test against Gustavus. The Gusties took their first conference loss Wednesday night, 3-1 at Augsburg.
Wednesday's 2-1 road soccer victory at Concordia-Moorhead and this volleyball triumph win pushed St. Thomas' MIAC combined fall record in volleyball, football and soccer to 11-0-2.
