Women's Hockey 'powers' past host Blazers

St. Thomas Women's Hockey converted all three power-play opportunities into goals in Friday night's 3-2 win over St. Ben's in St. Cloud.

The teams play again Saturday night in Mendota Heights (7 p.m.).

St. Thomas (6-8-3 overall, 5-3-3 MIAC) never trailed and outshot St. Ben's 36-19.

Leah Schwartzman scored the game winner with 7:05 to go in the final period.

Allie Borgstrom and Kathryn Larson scored the other goals, and Anna Williams had three assists. Kenzie Torpy stopped 17 of 19 shots.
