St. Thomas Women's Golf has three student-athletes named to the national scholar athlete team by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.

Golfers with a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 were eligible, and more than 900 from all NCAA and NAIA college teams were honored.

Recent graduate Rachel Morris and rising seniors Emily Thul and Kate Drimel were recognized for the Tommies. All three have gpas above 3.75. Coach Sara Evens' team had a 3.60 gpa for the 2016-17 school year.

Over the last three seasons, Morris averaged 79.5 over 56 rounds, while Thul averaged 79.0 over 56 rounds. Drimel improved to an 83.3 average in the 2016-17 season.

In 2015-16, Thul posted the lowest scoring average among 50-plus MIAC players and tied for third place at the NCAA Championships. Thul and Morris led the Toms to an eighth-place national finish. Thul was named honorable mention All-America.
