Renikoff gets Summer all-star chance in Brazil

St. Thomas rising junior guard Lucia Renikoff is among nine players selected to play this week with the USA Division III Women's Basketball all-star team on its trip to Brazil.

Renikoff helped St. Thomas record a 31-1 mark and third-place national finish last winter as she averaged 13 ppg in five NCAA tournament contests. A first-year starter, she recorded her career high with 17 points in the NCAA playoffs last March 11 against Chicago.

The Toms are 23-2 in games when Renikoff scores eight or more points. In 58 career games she's converted 80 percent at the foul line, 38 percent from 3-point range and averaged 7.0 points, two rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. She made the MIAC honorable mention All-MIAC team as a sophomore.
