ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The St. Thomas softball team swept Bethel University by the scores of 3-0 in each game to record back-to-back shutouts.

The Tommies racked up 13 hits combined between the two games and held the Royals to 10 base knocks.  Both Sammy Hogan and Jessica Eppenberger were lights out for the Purple, with Hogan shouldering the load with a complete game shutout in game one and a save in game two after two innings of work.

With the win, the Tommies clinch at least a share of the MIAC regular season title and will await the results of the Hamline versus St. Catherine doubleheader.  Hamline has a chance to share the title with St. Thomas if it sweeps St. Catherine.
