Grant Shaeffer scored a game-high 17 points and 15 different Tommies scored points in Saturday's 90-58 victory over Concordia-Moorhead in Schoenecker Arena.
The Tommies (10-4 overall, 6-3 MIAC) shot 53 percent from the field, recorded a 38-30 rebounding edge, and had only seven turnovers. In addition, St. Thomas scored 14 points off turnovers while only allowing Concordia to score three points off turnovers.
Ryan Boll, who missed Wednesday home loss to St. Olaf with an injury, returned and chipped in 14 points. Two freshmen also contributed well off the bench: Elijah Hannah had nine points and six rebounds, and Tommy Anderson scored eight points.
In total, the Tommies scored 43 points off the bench compared to 29 for the Cobbers. St. Thomas also held an 8-4 advantage in steals and Jordan Burich collected three of the four blocks for the Tommies.
14 different Tommies pulled down at least one of the team's 38 rebounds with 11 of them being offensive rebounds.
St. Thomas collected 19 assists over the course of the game with Shaeffer and John Veil each picking up five.
The Tommies have a bye on Monday and play at Saint Mary's on Wednesday.
