Softball's Bowe gets MIAC weekly honor

St. Thomas' Kendra Bowe (FR-Chippewa Falls, Wis.) Monday was named the MIAC Softball Pitcher of the-Week for the third time in 2012. Bowe helped UST go 4-0 last week and stay in a share of the conference lead.

In three starts and four appearances last week, Bowe went 2-0 and allowed only one run in 13 innings with 20 strikeouts against just two walks. This season, Bowe is 16-0 with a 1.24 ERA and 123 strikeouts in 103 innings.

The No. 18-ranked Tommies (30-6 overall, 17-1 MIAC) play Wednesday at Macalester and Saturday at home against St. Ben's. UST pitchers have not allowed a run in 27 innings.
