As part of the 2009 St. Thomas Family Weekend, UST softball will hold its eighth-annual Purple/Gray Fall Game this Sunday Oct. 4 on the South Field.
The scrimmage, which wraps up fall practice sessions, will start at 1 p.m., and it's open to the public, with no admission charge.
Softball parents and families will have a barbeque following the games.
There are three nine-player teams that will play each other in shortened games, with time limits of 1:15 for each of the three games.
St. Thomas graduated eight seniors from last spring's 40-6 team that was MIAC runner-up, conference tournament champion, and an NCAA playoff qualifier. But 17 players returned and are paired with 10 newcomers.
Parking will be available near the field on south campus or in the Anderson parking ramp located here at #35: http://www.stthomas.edu/psps/Parking/stpaul2Dparking.pdf
