ABCA Midwestern Regional Pitcher of the Year, 1st Team All-Midwestern Regional selection and 1st Team All-MIAC Conference. Broke two of the schools most prestigious records for wins in a single season with (13), previously held by Matt Schuld (12-1 in 2009), and strikeouts with (105) surpassing Dick Washburn (102 in 1963). 2012 Season
...Finished 13-2 with a 2.77 ERA in 97.1 innings pitched with 18 appearances, 14 games started to go along with two saves. Was among the national leaders with seven complete games and two shutouts, limiting opponents to a .228 average against while walking only 22 and allowing just 82 hits. Made UST debut on Opening Day against St. Scholastica at the Metrodome(2/27/12) holding the Saints to seven hits in 6.1 innings with six strikeouts to pick up first collegiate victory. Picked up first career shutout in dramatic fashion blanking UW-Whitewater (4/8/12) on two hits in seven innings with seven strikeouts in the Tom's 3-0 victory. Went on to shutout UW-Stevens Point in Auburndale, Florida (3/18/12) allowing just four hits while striking out seven in the Tommies 3-0 win. Was named the NCBWA National & MIAC Pitcher of the Week (3/26/12) after victories against nationally ranked opponents St. Scholastica, UW-LaCrosse, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Whitewater, Chicago and St. John's. Finished the month of April as one of the top pitchers in all of NCAA College Baseball with a 10-0 record and an incredible 6-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Posted 5-1 record in MIAC play in six appearances, five starts, worked 33 innings with 37 strikeouts. Had record breaking day in the MIAC Playoffs Elimination Round against St. Marys (5/12/12) leading UST to a 10-2 victory while amassing 16 strikeouts in a complete game effort, the second most strikeouts in a single game in school history (Steve Samuelson 19 - 1970). ...Helped lead the UST sweep of the Midwestern Regional in Whitewater, Wisconsin picking up a save against the defending champion UW-Whitewater (5/17/12) and picking up a victory in the Tom's 22-2 victory over St. Scholastica (5/18/12) working 4 innings allowing just one hit with six strikeouts. Was named the starting pitcher and picked up the victory for St. Thomas in the College World Series opener against Christopher Newport (5/25/12) in Appleton, Wisconsin, working seven innings allowing eight hits and four earned runs with three strikeouts in the Tom's 12-7 win. Came on to pick up the save against SUNY-Cortland (5/29/12) working 1.1 innings of relief allowing just two hits with two strikeouts in UST's 7-6 win. Made final start of the season against the defending National Champion Marietta Pioneers on (5/30/12) working 7.2 innings with six strikeouts, no walks allowing five runs in the Tommies 5-0 defeat to the eventual College World Series champs. Named 2013 Preseason 1st Team All-American Selection. Enters the 2013 season as one of four Tommie team captains.

2009 Academy of Holy Angels Graduate. Three year starter and Letter Winner in Baseball for Holy Angels. Earned Missota All-Conference Honors and Pioneer Press and Star Tribune All-State Honorable Mention Honors as a senior. In American Legion, posted a 7-0 record for the Stars with a 0.88 ERA in 39.2 innings pitched, struck out 71 and walked 17 while throwing four shutouts. Posted 6-1 record with a 2.65 ERA in nine appearances as a junior, including two shutouts while recording 60 strikeouts and only 13 walks in 42.1 innings. Tossed no-hitter for Holy Angels on (5/8/08). Named the Stars Most Valuable Pitcher and was selected to the Missota All-Conference Team as a junior. Posted 5-2 record with a 3.39 ERA and recorded one save as a sophomore while recording 29 strikeouts and only two walks in 20.2 innings pitched. Signed with Division-I Illinois State in the fall of 2009.
